If you’ve been with me for awhile, you know that one of my back to work shopping stops include Walmart. I’m a huge fan of their Time and Tru line. They have great basic work staples in tons of colors and prints, and I’m noticing that they are bringing back some of their popular styles this fall.

I’ve rounded up some of my top picks for your work wardrobe this year. The best part about each of these pieces is that they won’t break the bank!

Millennium Skinny Pants

I have these in three colors, and my oldest pair has lasted me for two school years now. I keep going back for more because they are stretchy and comfortable. They are a thinner material compared an other work pants I’ve tried, but for me, that’s perfect in the summer, fall and spring. I would say these run pretty true to size.

Stretch Knit Jeggings

These are a great option if you’re looking for a more casual pair of pants for work. Their stretch knit material makes them comfortable and easy to move in. They come in several colors, but I don’t think you can go wrong with these great neutrals.

High Rise Bootcut Jeans

Are you excited about the bootcut trend coming back? I’m not ready to retire my skinny jeans quite yet, but I do love a good bootcut style for the fall. These come in a few washes along with a khaki pair that’s great for work.

Everyday Cardigan

This is another Walmart staple that I have in several colors. Again, my oldest one has lasted two school years with no problems. Aside from the fact that these are comfortable, I think the thing I like most about these is that they don’t wrinkle. They lay nicely on top of tanks and blouses and just pull an outfit together effortlessly.

Smocked Blouse

This brand never disappoints with their bright colors, and I can’t get over the pink and green blouse. Pair one of these with the Millennium Skinny Pants and a pair of flats, and you have an easy work outfit that’s professional and comfortable.

Sleeveless Midi Dress

When my school year starts, we still have a good two months of super hot weather, so I like being able to wear dresses that I can throw a cardigan or denim jacket over, since it’s cooler in my classroom. I love the length of midi dresses for work. I don’t have to worry about the length, and can easily move around in them.

Swing Dress

I have this in that gorgeous jade color, and it is very comfortable and easy to wear. While these dresses are great on their own, I also recommend paring them with leggings or tights and a pair of ankle booties as the weather cools down.

Faux Wrap Dress

I love a good wrap dress, but I have one requirement… it has to have a hook closure. Life’s too short to deal with double sided tape! These pretty dresses are perfect for Back to School Nights, Parent Teacher Conferences or IEP meetings. If the v-neck is still too low on you, you can always pair a bandeau underneath.

Milkmaid Dress

The pretty patterns of these dresses are what initially drew me in. I also love the retro vibes it’s giving off. The functional buttons make this a perfect choice for nursing or pumping mamas.

Pleated Skirt

These elastic waist pleated skirts are perfect for work. They have a great midi length and are easy to move in. Pair with a smocked top or even a tee and denim jacket. I absolutely love the snake print.

Utility Jacket

This is one of the best priced utility jackets I’ve seen. These are a great jacket to have as the weather starts to cool down. Perfect to throw on over your outfit for recces duty! I would even wear these as part of my outfit in place of a blazer or cardigan. They can definitely pull a look together!

Denim Jacket

You won’t find a better priced denim jacket anywhere else. This one has a good amount of stretch and comes in three washes. I have the white one, which I pair over tons of summer dresses. You can’t go wrong with any of these colors, but I think the medium wash denim is the most versatile.

Loafers

I have these in a black suede (last season), and I was so happy they brought these back in other styles. The studded ones remind me of a way more expensive designer pair. What I love about many of the Time and Tru brand shoes, is they have memory foam, making them super comfortable to wear when you’re on your feet all day.

Wedge Sneakers

Another best seller that Walmart brought back this year were these popular wedge sneakers. There are so many designer pairs out there selling for way more. I actually prefer the look of these, and they come in wide widths!

Walmart has so many great pieces to kick off your back to work wardrobe. You don’t have to spend a fortune to look stylish and professional.
