I’ve dabbled in super expensive makeup and budget friendly makeup, and I feel like I’ve found a great balance between the two. Sometimes I’ll do a full face of pricier makeup, and other times I’ll use all drugstore products, but it’s generally a mix of both. I’m going to break down my favorite save and splurge products!

I’ve dabbled in super expensive makeup and budget friendly makeup, and I feel like I’ve found a great balance between the two. Sometimes I’ll do a full face of pricier makeup, and other times I’ll use all drugstore products, but it’s generally a mix of both. I’m going to break down my favorite save and splurge products!
Concealer
This is absolutely something I will splurge on, and I use these two concealers every single day. For under eyes, it doesn’t get any better than ShapeTape. I used to use the Original, but as my skin matured, I moved to the Shape Tape Creamy which isn’t as drying. Last year, they introduced the Shape Tape Radiant, and that has been my go-to since it was released. The other concealer I use is Dermablend, and I use this on age spots, and it covers them up like a dream! I don’t generally suffer from acne/blemishes, but when I do, I’ll use this as well to conceal.
Blush
I’ve been a fan of cream blushes for quite some time, and while I appreciate the high pigmentation of Rare Beauty and Saie, I sometimes find them a little overwhelming. Tarte’s Blush Tape and Milk’s Blush Stick have been my personal favorites. They’re easy to apply and long lasting. While I really like these blushes, I honestly prefer my more budget friendly options and use those more often.
Eyes
If you’ve followed me on social media for a while, you know that I’m typically very minimal when it comes to eye makeup, primarily because I get eyelash extensions. They are a major splurge for me, but one that I don’t think I could live without! When I do wear eyeshadow, it’s almost always the Lorac palette or the Tarte palette. They have my go-to colors, and they blend beautifully. For eyeliner, the Tarte Fake Awake goes in the waterline, and I’ll usually use a drugstore liner on the outer rim of my eyes. I don’t use mascara anymore, but before I started getting eyelash extensions, I would use mainly mascara from Tarte or Two Faced. I get my eyebrows tinted to avoid having to pencil them in, but I do use the Grande Tinted Brown Serum to shape them.
Lips
Tarte Lip Creme | Tarte Lip Liner
Basically any lip product from Tarte is a winner! I’ve tried them all, but the Maracuja Lip Liner and Maracuja Juicy Lip Cream are my favorites along with the Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Gloss (it has a minty essence that I love). If you’re a lip gloss gal, any of the Maracuja Lip Glosses are amazing!
Setting Spray
There is no setting spray that compares to the Urban Decay All Nighter. It’s honestly the only setting spray that I will use! It truly does make such a difference in the longevity of my makeup.

Primer
I prefer the budget friendly primers over the pricier ones. Anything by e.l.f is fantastic- it really just depends on your needs. Their Poreless Putty Primer is fantastic if you have larger pores like me, but their PowerGrip Primer is another one of my go-tos. In the summer months, I’m usually reaching for their SunTouchable SPF Primer (a great alternative for the SuperGoop!).
Foundation and Powder
For a long time, the Milani Conceal and Perfect was my everyday foundation, primarily because the shade match was spot on! I still grab it every now and then, but e.l.f has really made some amazing foundations, and I’ve been mainly using those. For full coverage days, I’m using the C.C Cream and for medium coverage days (which is most often), the Flawless Finish is the best! I’ve gone through several bottles of this, and I just keep re-ordering. This summer though, instead of a foundation, I’ve been reaching for the e.l.f Halo Glow Filter, which isn’t technically a foundation, but more of a tinted “booster.” You can wear it alone, over or under makeup, mixed with foundation, or as a highlighter. This is great for the summer when I want something light.
I’m passionate about the e.l.f Halo Glow setting powder because I don’t think I’ve seen many powders that don’t mattify a glowy look, so this is one that I’m reaching for almost every single day.
Concealer
While I’m sticking with my splurge concealers, I will say that I became obsessed with the Catrice Under Eye Brightener. This works wonders on dark circles and can be used alone or in conjunction with concealer.
Blush
Elf Highlight Wand | Elf Blush Wand | Elf Contour Wand
The e.l.f cream blushes are all rockstars! My favorites are the Halo Glow Wands. A little goes a long way, and they’re super easy to blend. Any time I use a cream blush, I always set it with a powder, and the only one I really use is the Milani Baked Blush. It’s gorgeous on its own too!
Eyes
The Maybelline Blushed Nudes eye palette is a really great drugstore eyeshadow. The colors blend well and are pretty pigmented. And one I was really pleasantly surprised with was the Wet n Wild Always Naked eyeshadow compact. I love the neural colors, and was pleased with how much color each shade gave. Also easy to blend! The Nyx Mechanical Eye Pencil has been my OG for years, and I really see no reason to switch since I love this one so much!
Lips

I use mostly drugstore-brand lip products. Revlon, Covergirl, and Maybelline are all in my repertoire. I tend to go for more long wear or matte lipsticks, but I’ve been loving all of the lip oil options as well. The Maybelline Vinyl Ink is one that I can’t stop buying more colors in! It’s long wear but not drying. My favorite colors are Cheeky and Coy, but I have a few others as well. The Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner in the color Nude is my most worn lip liner. Setting Spray
I don’t have a budget friendly option for this one (sorry!). I’m telling you that the Urban Decay All Nighter is WORTH IT!
