If there’s one request I get the most this time of year, it’s what to wear for fall family pictures, and I totally get it! Planning outfits for the family whether it’s for photos, a holiday or an event can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Since my kids were babies, I’ve always looked to Old Navy for all my family photo outfits. I mean, it’s kind of a no-brainer since it’s a one-stop shop for men, women, kids, and babies. They do a fantastic job releasing pieces each fall that perfectly coordinate with one another, but not in that obvious old-school family picture way.
Women’s black long-sleeve dress | Women’s boots | Girls’ short sleeve brown ribbed dress | Girls’ combat boots | Men’s crew neck sweater | Men’s jeans | Men’s Black shoes | Boys’ flannel shirt | Boys’ gray textured tee | Boys’ chino pants | Boys’ beige shoes
If you’re looking for very basic neutrals that are easy to coordinate, these outfits will be perfect. The blacks, browns, and creams are classic and perfect for a fall backdrop.
Women’s v-neck maroon dress | Women’s boots | Girls’ maroon top | Girls’ faux leather skirt | Girls’ Combat Boots | Men’s Slim Chino Pants | Men’s crew neck sweater | Men’s Black shoes | Boys’ flannel shirt | Boys’ beige shoes | Boys’ dark wash jeans
Burgundy, wine, maroon… whatever you prefer to call it, is the perfect fall shade, in my opinion. Since I typically wear a print, I always start with my outfit first then build the kids and my husbands from there.
Women’s smocked maxi dress | Women’s boots | Girls’ sage smocked top | Girls’ pink corduroy skirt | Girls’ light pink dress | Girls’ brown ankle boots | Men’s waffle knit henley | Men’s slim chino pants | Men’s gray shoes | Boys’ light wash jeans | Boys’ thermal | Boys’ beige shoes
If you’re looking for something a little lighter and not as fall-ish, this color scheme is great. It would even work for spring photos as well.
