Hello friends and happy MARCH! I think I say this every year, but this year is totally flying by! March is my unofficial start to spring. Even though it can still be quite cold here, March always gets me super excited for Spring Break!
Typically, we try and get away to someplace warm over Spring Break, but this year we are staying home. As much as I would LOVE to go somewhere, I am super excited for a little stay-cation.
Whether you plan to stay home or travel near or far, I’ve decided to do a few round ups for things you may need for your Spring Break adventures this year!
First, we have one of my all time favorite places and an extremely popular destination for Spring Break: Disney World!!
Disney is extremely popular over Spring Break because the kids are all out of school and the heat isn’t as crazy as it can be in the summer months, so if you are headed to Disney, prepare for some crowds! No matter the time of year, visiting Disney requires prep + planning. Luckily, I have navigated Disney so many times, I’ve got you covered on the basic essentials and Disney must haves! I think each of these items are on the must bring list, but if i had to pick two I would choose the filtered water bottle and the portable phone charger. These two items will save you both time and money in Disney, both of which are very precious when visiting the happiest place on earth! I also love to buy my own merch before going. It gives you a chance to wash it and try it on and again, you will save SO much money this way!
Second on the list, my personal FAVORITE place to spend spring break: The beach!!
The beach is truly my happy place. I love to listen to the waves crashing and feel the sun on my face. However, as I’ve gotten older I have realized the importance of sun protection! This is my absolute favorite beach hat and I love supergoop products! Especially the glow screen! And you know me, I need to have a cute swimsuit that is also full coverage and comfortable and I have linked one of my all time favorites! I also love this beach bag because its mesh- no more sand trapped in your bag! How genius is that? And why didn’t I invent that? Lol.
Next, we have camping!
Although it is too chilly here to camp during spring break, I know that so many live in places where it’s already warm enough to camp, or where it stays warm all year round! Camping is such a fun and relaxing experience, but I like to do what I call “elevated camping”. Kind of like glamping, just not as fancy! Lol. I love this inflatable lounger. It’s perfect for both inside and outside tents and gives such a fun place to relax. A total must have for me is a large family sized tent. If we opt for a tent and not a camper, I like to have my space! A smores kit, soap sheets, and a portable cutting board/sink are also so nice to have, but if I had to pick just ONE must have from this list (other than shelter of course) I would pick the mosquito repellent bracelets! Guys, these things work wonders and are MUCH needed for outdoor events!
FInally, we have what I will be doing this spring break- a stay-cation!!
Sometimes, when spring break rolls around, what you really need is a relaxing week at home to recharge and prepare yourself for the last big push of the school year! These pacifica face masks are my absolute favorite and the name does them justice- stress rehab! I think I can speak for all teachers when I say, by spring break- we all need a little stress rehab! Lol. Use one of these while you soak in the tub with the bath soak or relax and watch a show on your apple tv! And you can never go wrong with a fun new lounge set and cute little slippers. Top it all off with this cozy blanket and a scented candle and you are all set for a relaxing stay-cation!
Whatever you’re doing this year for spring break, I hope that you have fun and are able to unplug and relax before heading back into the classroom for the final big push of the school year!! You are doing an amazing job, so don’t forget to treat yourself wherever your spring break may take you!
