Hi friends, happy Wednesday! It’s been a busy few weeks, between recovering from all things Christmas and preparing for all that the new year brings, but I am so excited because one of my favorite holidays is just around the corner- Valentine’s Day! I know some people say that Valentine’s Day is just a “Hallmark Holiday”, but I say why not celebrate all the LOVE that is in your life? And the addition of candy and flowers never hurts, am I right? I love an excuse to celebrate, and of course, I love the color pink!
I wanted to share a few of my Valentine’s day faves ahead of the holiday in case you are someone like me who enjoys the celebration and the explosion of all things pink, red, and white!
First, I want to share some of my favorite outfits. These pieces are perfect for work, date night or Galentine’s Day, and this little heart top with the Peter Pan collar is the absolute cutest thing! And the pants and skirts are so cute too, and could be worn with SO many other pieces! I think the black tiered tulle skirt may be my favorite, but it’s totally a toss-up! Sizing tip: the top does run small. I ordered a large based on reviews. A medium may have worked but I also would have risked it being too tight in the chest. There is no stretch to it.
Looking for long sleeves? No problem! How cute is this red heart print sweater? The hearts are raised off of the sweater, so it’s a bit more subtle than the first top, but still gives off Valentine’s Day vibe! I love a cozy sweater, especially in February when it’s usually quite cold here!
If you are looking for more of a subtle Valentine’s day look, this adorable pink blouse could be paired with both pants and skirts, and even some fun heels or flats making the perfect Valentine’s day look without having to wear hearts! Another plus, you can continue to wear this throughout many different seasons!
And I can’t even with this cute Valentine’s Day teacher tee! It says, “My Class is Full of Sweethearts.” You can dress it up or down. Plus, you’ll want to take a peek at these cute heart earrings too!
You can catch even more Valentine’s Day outfits and outfit inspos here.
In addition to Valentine’s day outfits, I love to bring a little Valentine’s day cheer into my home! Each holiday, I look forward to decorating my tiered tray in my kitchen. It doesn’t have to be much, but just adding a little pop of fun into the everyday decor just makes me smile! Such a fun and easy way to decorate without having to break the bank or go all out for each holiday.
I also love to put a fun spin on breakfast for my kids and husband on Valentine’s Day, and these waffles are so easy! You can see my Instagram reel here where I share the recipe and fun ways to decorate! This is also a great activity for kids. Mine love to help out in the kitchen!
I know Valentine’s day can get a bad rap, but it’s truly one of my favorites! The decorations, the outfits, and of course the candy are some of my faves, and even if you truly dislike Valentine’s Day remember: it’s one step closer to spring! Have a great week friends, and in case no one has told you yet today- you are SO loved!
